A primary objective of this study is substantially deepen the concept and benefits from the perspective of sustainability include socially responsible public procurement (CPSR), its impact on decent work and strengthening of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) . Second, it seeks to present the progress in this area have shown the Central American countries through government initiatives and national legislation.

The CPSR have achieved great importance in recent years framed within the concept of sustainable development, through which seeks to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to solve theirs.

Duties of the President

  1. Convene and coordinate meetings of the Executive Committee and the Annual Conference.
  2. Representing INGP.
  3. Coordinate the support of the Technical Secretariat for the management of resources and access to international cooperation.
  4. Lead the implementation of the activities contained in the Annual Work Plan and any other activity that is required for the consolidation and development of the Network.
  5. Request the technical and administrative support of the Technical Secretariat of the Network as it deems necessary for the proper functioning of the same.

Election Period

The President shall serve for a period of one year, renewable for an additional year and shall be elected by the Annual Conference to all members of the Network.

All representatives of member countries are eligible to assume the office of President.

Be appointed Chairman the candidate receiving the most votes of all members present at the Network Annual Conference. The vote is secret.
