Panama Designates Jindriska Barakat as Deputy Director for the National Procurement Agency

July 29, Jindriska Barakat Pitty was designated by the National Assembly of Panama as Deputy Director of the National Procurement Agency of Panama (DGCP).
When pronounced Deputy Director she expressed “I commit myself to the National Procurement Agency, as administrator of the internet portal, PanamaCompra – I commit to contribute to its efficiency and to the development of our country with substantial savings in procurement. This new condition will be achieved by the implementation of economic policies resulting in the provision of more resources.”
Barakat was designated in July 3rd 2014, by the president of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela, to whom she recognized and emphasized “that [she] will act with outmost transparency, such that all business that carry out bids have equity and equality of opportunity, guaranteeing the existence of regulation that invites higher participation in the process.
