The General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP) has received the ISO 37001:2016 certification from the Dominican Institute for Quality (Indocal), confirming the presence of effective mechanisms to prevent, detect, and manage bribery within the institution. The accreditation was granted following a thorough audit that assessed the DGCP’s internal controls and procedures.
Carlos Pimentel, the institution’s Director General, emphasized that the certification reinforces DGCP’s commitment to transparency and public ethics while strengthening internal processes and enhancing institutional management. He also acknowledged the vital role of DGCP staff in achieving this milestone, highlighting their dedication to building a more trustworthy public administration.
ISO 37001, published in 2016 by the International Organization for Standardization, provides guidelines for fostering an organizational culture grounded in integrity and compliance. It promotes clear anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies across both public and private sector institutions.
