The XVIII Annual Conference of the Inter-American Network on Government Procurement will be held on February 21, 22 and 23, 2024 in Asuncion, Paraguay, with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS), as Technical Secretariat of the INGP, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).

The central theme of the conference, “Empowering development with public-private partnerships through government procurement,” will highlight the most important trends in public procurement worldwide, in which national and international experts will share their knowledge through keynote lectures and panel discussions.

Also in attendance will be distinguished authorities and representatives of the INGP member countries, National Directors of Public Procurement of the South Cone, members of Operational Procurement Units of public entities of Paraguay, companies, academics, civil society and members of international organizations. Around 500 guests are expected to attend, making this event a unique opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The event will be held in face-to-face and virtual mode and registrations will be available soon, as well as the agenda.

Commitment to Sustainability

The conference will be a sustainable event, minimizing negative impacts on the environment. In this sense, it is in the process of measuring, reporting and fully offsetting Greenhouse Gases (GHG), thus obtaining the category of “100% Carbon Neutral Event” through the International Carbon Neutral Event Declaration granted by the 100% Carbon Neutral® Program.

This meeting seeks not only to promote the exchange of knowledge in public procurement, but also to lead practices that contribute to the well-being of the community and care for the environment.
