The Inter-American Network on Government Procurement (INGP) along with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organization of American States (OAS) and the National Agency of Procurement (DNCP) of Paraguay will be hosting a Workshop on Market Concentration, Collusion and Identification of Abnormally Low Tenders, which will be held on February 24th, and 25th, 2016 in Asuncion, Paraguay.
The objective of the workshop is to analyze and understand the different forms of market concentration as well as its implications within the market as whole and competition within the market; understand the basic elements of collusion and define the implications of abnormally low tenders. Additionally the workshop will contain presentations of regional and extra regional case studies on topics of prevention of market concentration, types of sanctions levied on cases of collusion and methods used on how to identify collusion and low tenders.
