Promoting Inclusive Growth Seminar: Increasing Participation of Women in Government Procurement

The objective of this Seminary is to have a dialogue on how countries can increase the participation of women in public procurement in Latin America and the Caribbean.
During the event, heads of procurement and international organizations that work on the topic will discuss the importance of the promotion of women in public procurement, the economic rationale for gender equity policies, the different approaches to achieving a greater participation of women, the need to develop interventions to support women owned businesses to be ready to effectively procure goods and services for the public sector, and finally a review of the initiatives that are being implemented in the region.
This Conference has the technical support of the Office of the Executive Vice President (EVP), the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF), Operations Financial Management and Procurement Services Office (FMP), Gender and Diversity Unit (SCL/GDI), Administrative Services and Corporate Procurement Division (BDA/ACP), the Inter-American Network on Government Procurement (INGP) and the Organization of American States (OAS).
