La nueva MAPS/2017 es una herramienta universal que apunta a catalizar y acelerar la implementación de un sistema de adquisiciones públicas moderno, eficiente, sostenible y más inclusivo en todos los países. Las evaluaciones de la MAPS permiten identificar los aspectos donde se requieren reformas e indican la mejor manera de implementarlas.

The workshop was organized by the Organization of American States as the Technical Secretariat of the INGP, Centro Vincular of the Catholic University of Valparaíso, The Danish Institute for Human Rights, The International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (ICAR) and the International Learning Lab on Public Procurement and Human Rights, with the support of the United Nations Working Group on Business and Human Rights and the Swedish Embassy in Chile.

III Sub-Regional Caribbean Public Procurement Conference of the INGP
The Third INGP Sub-regional Caribbean Government Procurement Conference was held in Bridgetown, Barbados and consisted of two days of presentations by international and regional experts and one day of closed sessions where country officials engaged in high level policy dialogue and developed guidelines for future activities on the network.

The workshop on Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) took place on 5 and 6 April 2016 in Bogota, Colombia, with the participation of 21 member's countries of the Inter-American Network on Government Procurement (INGP).
Workshop on Market Concentration, Collusion and Identification of Abnormally Low Tenders
The Inter-American Network on Government Procurement (INGP) along with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organization of American States (OAS) and the National Agency of Procurement (DNCP) of Paraguay will be hosting a Workshop on Market Concentration, Collusion and Identification of Abnormally Low Tenders, which will be held on February 24th, and 25th, 2016 in Asuncion, Paraguay.
Workshop on Quality and Price Evaluation for Government Procurement (Best Value for Money)
The goal of this workshop was to understand and analyze the different approaches to achive better value for money in government procurement. Also, we discussed common rules for bid evaluation and share best practices implemented in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Workshop on Regulatory Developments for Government Procurement
The Workshop on Regulatory Developments for Government Procurement, organized by the INGP through the OAS, the IDB and the OSCE took place on September 17th-18th in Lima, Perú. The goal of this workshop was to understand and analyze regional and extra-regional regulatory developments in the provision of goods, services and infrastructure, and issues impacting its management. Also, we shared best practices implemented in Latin America and the Caribbean and identify topics, alternatives and regulatory reform experiences from countries in the region.
Promoting Inclusive Growth Seminar: Increasing Participation of Women in Government Procurement
The objective of this Seminar is to have a dialogue on how countries can increase the participation of women in public procurement in Latin America and the Caribbean. During the event, heads of procurement and international organizations that work on the topic will discuss the importance of the promotion of women in public procurement, the economic rationale for gender equity policies, the different approaches to achieving a greater participation of women, the need to develop interventions to support women owned businesses to be ready to effectively procure goods and services for the public sector, and finally a review of the initiatives that are being implemented in the region.
